For Our Educators

Dear Educator:

My Other Guidance Counselor is not designed to replace you. It is designed to help you start the conversation with your student on career choices. Our goal is to help children in underserved and underrepresented communities see the opportunities that will allow them to live productive lives.

As you know, there are students who are not interested in attending a four year college. Our goal is to show them what they can do with a two year degree or specialized training in the trades. Not all high-paying jobs require a college degree; many look for skills, experience and background knowledge in place of a university education. Our hope is that My Other Guidance Counselor can be a resource in assisting you with having these discussions with your students.
